The invention relates to the use of linear or cyclic silicon compounds, comprising at least one chromophore group of the quinone or azoic type, as direct dyes in cosmetic compositions designed for dyeing human keratin fibres and, in particular, hair. The invention also relates to new silicon compounds and compositions of dyes containing them and the corresponding direct dyeing process.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation de composés siliciés, linéaires ou cycliques,comportant au moins un groupement chromophore de type quinonique ou azoïque, à titre de colorants directs dans des compositions cosmétiques destinées à la teinture des fibres kératiniques humaines et notamment des cheveux. L'invention concerne également de nouveaux composés siliciés et les compositionsde teinture les contenant ainsi que le procédé de teinture directe correspondant.
