Compositions and methods for the formation of physically cross-linked thermoplastic elastomeric films are dis-closed. The disclosed films are long-lasting, flexible, transfer resistant, and water-proof. The film-forming compositions comprise a thermoplastic elastomer, a tackifier resin, and a volatile solvent useful for formulating cosmetics, personal care products, and phar-maceutical compositions.
