The invention concerns the use as anti-UV agent, in an elastomer rubber composition, titanium dioxide particles of not more than 20 mn in size, said particles being coated with a silica, silico-aluminate or alumina layer. The invention also concerns rubber compositions comprising such an anti-UV agent and finished products based on said composition.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation comme agent anti-UV, dans une composition de caoutchouc à base d'un élastomère, de particules de dioxyde de titane de taille moyenne d'au plus 80 nm, lesdites particules étant recouvertes d'une couche de silice, de silicoaluminate ou d'alumine. Elle est également relative aux compositions de caoutchouc comprenant un tel agent anti-UV et aux articles finis à base d'une telle composition.
