The present invention provides compositions and methods for the treatment of tissue ischemia, and in particular, cerebral ischemia. In particular, the present invention provides gamma-, beta-, or delta-tocopherol enriched tocopherol compositions and gamma-, beta, or delta-tocopherol metabolite enriched compositions and/or flavonoid enriched and/or a flavonoid derivative enriched compositions and methods for their use in preventing or treating a tissue ischemic condition or a cerebral ischemic condition. The present invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising gamma-, beta-, or delta-tocopherol enriched tocopherol composition, a gamma-, beta-, or delta- tocopherol metabolite enriched compositions or flavonoid enriched compositions or flavonoid derivative enriched compositions.
La présente invention concerne des compositions et des méthodes de traitement de l'ischémie tissulaire, et notamment de l'ischémie cérébrale. Plus particulièrement, la présente invention concerne des compositions de tocophérol enrichies en gamma-, bêta- ou delta-tocophérol, ainsi que des compositions enrichies en métabolite de gamma-, bêta- ou delta-tocophérol et/ou des compositions enrichies en flavonoïde et/ou en dérivé de flavonoïde. L'invention se rapporte en outre à des méthodes d'utilisation de ces compositions dans la prévention ou le traitement d'un état pathologique lié à l'ischémie tissulaire ou d'un état pathologique lié à l'ischémie cérébrale. La présente invention concerne également des compositions pharmaceutiques renfermant des compositions de tocophérol enrichies en gamma-, bêta- ou delta-tocophérol, des compositions enrichies en métabolite de gamma-, bêta- ou delta-tocophérol ou des compositions enrichies en flavonoïde ou en dérivé de flavonoïde.
