L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'agents modifiants du transcriptome dans le but d'empêcher les cellules malignes de subir les changements génétiques nécessaires pour lutter contre l'attaque cellulaire et survivre à la chimiothérapie ou à la radiothérapie. Cette combinaison de modifiants du transcriptome est constituée d'agents qui inhibent le processus de méthylation de l'ADN en combinaison avec une substance qui inhibe la désacétylation des histones. L'invention concerne également une trousse de traitement qui consiste en l'administration d'une dose efficace d'hydralazine en combinaison avec de l'acide valproïque ou un sel de ce dernier tel que le valproate de magnésium afin de se combiner avec la radiothérapie ou la chimiothérapie dans le traitement des patients souffrant du cancer.
