The invention relates to the use of the trisubstituted benzopyranones of general formula (I), wherein R6, R7 and R8 independently represent H or SO3H, and to the physiologically acceptable salts thereof for use in the treatment or prophylaxis of pathological conditions that are related to oxidative stress and/or inflammatory reactions. The invention also relates to novel trisubstituted benzopyranones and to the physiologically acceptable salts thereof, and to plant extracts, drugs, dietetic food and pharmaceutical preparations containing said compounds.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation de benzopyranones trisubstituées dans le traitement ou la prophylaxie d'états pathologiques, associés à un stress oxydatif et/ou à des réactions inflammatoires, ainsi que de nouvelles benzopyranones substituées et leurs sels physiologiquement acceptables. Cette invention concerne également des extraits végétaux, des médicaments, des aliments diététiques et des préparations pharmaceutiques contenant ces composés.
