The invention relates to cosmetic compositions which are intended to improve the firmness of the skin, by increasing adhesion of cutaneous cells in relation to one another and the basal lamina.The aforementioned compositions comprise a cosmetically-effective quantity of peptides having general formula X-isoleucyl-lysyl-valyl-alanyl-valine, known as XIKVAV (figure 1). The invention also relates to the use of XIKVAV peptides in the preparation of cosmetic compositions which are intended to improve the firmness of the skin.

L'invention concerne des compositions cosmétiques qui permettent d'améliorer la fermeté de la peau, en augmentant l'adhésion des cellules cutanées entre elles et par rapport à la couche basale. Ces compositions comprennent une quantité cosmétiquement efficace de peptides représentés par la formule générale X-isoleucyl-lysyl-valyl-alanyl-valina, appelé XIKVAV. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de peptides XIKVAV dans la préparation de compositions cosmétiques afin d'améliorer la fermeté de la peau.
