ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for stabilizing a mixture of (A) a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile and (B) polyvinyl chloride or a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinylidine chloride, vinyl acetate, ethylene, propylene, isobutylene or vinylidine fluoride which comprises adding to said mixture a stabilizing amount of (I) a zinc salt of a mercaptobenzimidazole of the formula Image wherein R is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, (II) a zinc salt of di-C1-C9-alkyldithiophosphate or (III) a mixture thereof.
