A method of intravenously administering a bisphosphonate to a patient in need of bisphosphonate treatment comprising intravenously administering 4 mg of 2- (imidazol-1yl)-1-hydroxyethane-1,1-diphosphonic acid (soledronic acid) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt hereof over a period of 15 minutes to a patient in need of said treatment.

L'invention porte sur un procédé d'administration par voie intraveineuse d'un bisphosphonate à un patient nécessitant un traitement au bisphosphonate. Ce procédé consiste à administrer par voie intraveineuse 4 mg d'acide 2-(imidazol-1yl)-1-hydroxyéthane-1,1-diphosphonique (acide solédronique) ou un sel acceptable d'un point de vue pharmaceutique de celui-ci sur une durée de 15 minutes.
