An apparatus and method for implementing a user interface module for use in screening a receptacle to detect therein the presence of one or more prohibited objects is provided. An image signal associated with the receptacle conveying information related to the receptacle's contents and a detection signal conveying a presence of at least one prohibited object in the receptacle are received. A user interface module is adapted for displaying first information conveying an image associated with the receptacle on the basis of the image signal. The user interface module is also adapted for displaying, simultaneously with the first information, second information conveying the presence of the prohibited object in the receptacle. The second information is derived at least in part on the basis of the detection signal. As a variant, the user interface module is adapted for providing a control allowing a user to cause third information to be displayed. The third information conveys at least one characteristic associated to the prohibited object. Alternative implementations of the user interface module may be made for use in screening a person to detect thereon the presence of one or more prohibited objects.
Appareil et procédé de mise en oeuvre d'un module d'interface utilisateur pour contrôle d'un réceptacle, visant à détecter dans ce dernier la présence d'un ou de plusieurs objets prohibés. Sont reçus un signal d'image associé au réceptacle et véhiculant des informations en rapport avec le contenu dudit réceptacle, et un signal de détection renseignant sur la présence d'au moins un objet prohibé dans ce réceptacle. Un module d'interface utilisateur est conçu pour afficher une première information avec une image associée au réceptacle sur la base du signal d'image. Ce module permet également d'afficher, en même temps que la première information, une seconde information montrant la présence de l'objet prohibé dans le réceptacle. La seconde information est tirée au moins en partie du signal de détection. En variante, le module d'interface utilisateur est conçu comme un moyen de contrôle permettant à l'utilisateur d'afficher une troisième information. Cette troisième information porte sur au moins une caractéristique associée à l'objet prohibé. Dans d'autres modes de réalisation, le module d'interface utilisateur peut s'utiliser pour détecter chez une personne la présence d'un ou de plusieurs objets prohibés.
