An OspC Dra fragment fusion peptide isolated from Borrelia burgdorferi is described herein for the prevention, treatment and early diagnosis of Lyme disease in humans and other animals. This invention also relates to a screening method detecting anti-Osp borreliacidal antibody activity, and antibodies reacting with a protein fragment encoded by a DraI-SmaI DNA fragment of OspC.
La présente invention concerne un peptide de fusion du fragment Dra d'OspC isolé à partir de Borrelia burgdorferi destiné à la prévention, au traitement et à la détection précoce de la maladie de Lyme chez l'homme et les animaux. L'invention concerne aussi un procédé de criblage qui permet de détecter une activité anticorps anti-Osp borréliacidale, et des anticorps réagissant avec un fragment de protéine codée par un fragment DraI-SmaI d'ADN de OspC.
