The present invention relates to a process and a device for utilisation of waste heat from a high-temperature hood in the dryer section of a paper machine. Here, the waste heat from the high-temperature hood is applied to the waste steam and the condensate, respectively, from a steam system by means of a heat exchanger, thus improving utilisation of the energy contained in the exhaust air from a high-temperature hood.
