One or more vehicles, which may be acceptable to enter the mouth, contain at least one of two cooperating enzymes plus an antibody or antibody fragment which binds to a target site. There are means to attach both enzymes to such antibodies or fragments thereof, so as to bind the enzymes to the vicinity of the target. One enzyme generates an intermediate which is used by the other enzyme to generate a substance, preferably hypohalite, which acts at the target site.
