The UV tire protector provides a vacuum molded UV protectant layer ABS shell like cover panel configured to cover the outward facing surface and tread of automobiles, motorhomes, trucks, RV's, airplanes and trailer tires in static use. The shell like cover is maintained in place by a bungi cord positioned across the diameter at the back of the invention, and secured under the axle of the wheel it is attached to so that the cord effectively maintains the cover in place whereby even high winds will not dismember it. The cover extends about the circumference of the tire sidewall and up over covering the tread thus protecting the tire sidewall and tread from the elements and solar UV rays. The design of the tire protector with the cut out portion at the bottom of the tire protector allows for installation without moving the tires either vertically or horizontally from it's supportive position in contact with the ground and allows the tire protectors to be placed inside each other for storage or placement over the spare tire while travelling. The cover is somewhat pliable yet virtually unbreakable; therefore is able to change shape without breaking in the event that the tire loses its air and becomes flat. The tire protector is made of material that can be easily cut if alteration is required to allow the tire protector to fit under skirting that protrudes down over the wheels on some trailers allowing the cover to fit in small clearance levels or on wheels of motorhomes to allow it to fit over the rim of a 19.5 inch rim which may have a rim protrusion beyond the tires edge. The cover is made of an ABS material configured to simulate a tire mounted on a wheel with it's shape, color and design. The color of the ABS is black and molded with a top curvature extending to molded simulated tread around the outside periphery extending about 1 1/2" down the sidewall from the face of the tire protector. Also, on the flat surface from a point at center a designated size for each different size wheel, allows for mylar self adhesive decal consisting of a whitewall ring and a simulated full hub cap or by means of a silk screening process. Within the 5" center of the decal or silk screening process is situated my Registered "Trade Mark", "Sun Buster" in red depicting the diminished sun's bright UV rays.
Cette invention concerne un protecteur anti-UV sous la forme d'une coquille en ABS moulée sous vide et s'adaptant aux pneumatiques d'automobiles, d'autocaravanes, de camions, de véhicules de plaisance, d'avions et de remorques stationnés pour en protéger les surfaces exposées au soleil -- flanc et semelle -- contre le rayonnement ultraviolet. La coquille est maintenue en place par un élastique tendu entre les extrémités libres opposées de la partie arrière de l'invention et accroché à l'essieu correspondant de manière à résister aux vents les plus violents. La coquille enveloppe complètement le flanc et la semelle exposés du pneumatique pour les protéger des intempéries et du rayonnement UV du soleil. La forme de la coquille et sa partie découpée au bas permettent sa mise en place sans avoir à soulever ou à déplacer le véhicule, ainsi que le gerbage des coquilles (emboîtement l'une dans l'autre) pour leur rangement ou leur transport sur la roue de secours du véhicule. La coquille est relativement flexible tout en étant virtuellement indestructible; elle peut donc s'adapter sans se briser à la forme d'un pneumatique dégonflé. La coquille est faite d'un matériau facile à couper pour en modifier la forme au besoin, par exemple pour pouvoir être mise en place sur un pneumatique protégé par une jupe de logement de roue qui rend l'accès difficile ou sur les roues à jante de 19,5 pouces pouvant présenter des pièces en saillie par rapport au flanc du pneumatique. La coquille est en plastique ABS moulé et teint de manière à simuler un pneumatique monté sur roue. De couleur noire, la coquille en ABS présente sur la partie couvrant la semelle du pneumatique des sculptures imitant celles d'un pneumatique et se prolongeant sur le flanc sur une distance d'environ 1 1/2 po. De plus, on peut poser sur la façade de la coquille des décalcomanies auto-adhésives en mylar simulant un pneumatique à flanc blanc et un enjoliveur de roue plein. Le même résultat peut aussi être obtenu par sérigraphie. Dans un cercle de 5 po au centre de la décalcomanie ou de la sérigraphie figure la marque de commerce déposée de mon invention «Sun Buster»; elle est imprimée en rouge pour représenter l'intense rayonnement ultraviolet du soleil couchant.
