The invention relates to a system for locating an ULB transmitter (120, 130) without a preliminary fixed reference with the aid of at least one assembly of at least three ULB search transceivers (20, 22, 24) comprising the first, second and third transceiver. The inventive method consists a) in synchronising said three ULB search transceivers disposed in three different points and in evaluating the relative position thereof, b) in receiving signals (121, 131) transmitted by a locatable transmitter by said three transceivers, c) in calculating the relative position of the locatable transmitter with respect to the three search transceivers according to the propagation time of signals transmitted by a locatable transceiver (120, 130) towards said three search transceivers.

L'invention concerne un procédé de localisation d'un émetteur ULB (120, 130), sans référence fixe préalable,à l'aide d'au moins un premier ensemble d'au moins 3 émetteurs/récepteurs ULB de recherche (20, 22, 24), comportant un premier, un deuxième et un troisième émetteurs/récepteurs, ce procédé comportant :a) une étape de synchronisation des 3 émetteurs/récepteurs ULB de recherche, disposés en trois points différents, et d'estimation de la position relative de ces trois points,b) une étape de réception par les 3 émetteurs/récepteurs, de signaux (121, 131) émis par l'émetteur à localiser,c) une étape de calcul de la position relative, par rapport aux trois émetteurs/récepteurs de recherche, de l'émetteur à localiser en fonction des temps de parcours des signaux, émis par l'émetteur/récepteur à localiser (120, 130), vers les 3 émetteurs/récepteurs de recherche.
