Abstract of the Disclosure For continuous static mixing, a mixing insert and method of manu- facturing same, adapted to be arranged in a tubular housing, the insert comprising a plurality of fingers arranged in a plurality of intersecting claims with a slot between adjacent fingers in the same plane and the fingers connected to a common web. With the use of such an insert a static mixing device can be constructed with the constraints of being short in length and having a low pressure loss.
