ABSTRACT The invention is related to a broom device which specially constructed so as to hold a small hand-held portable vacuum cleaner in the upper handle. This adaptation allows the user to vacuum up a pile of dirt (which has been swept together by use of the broom in the regular fashion) by way of the hollow tube handle andlower vacuum nozzle. The combination of long broom bristles, vacuum nozzle and a hollow tube handle, together with the fact that the upper handle adaptor is designed such that the protable vacuum device can "snap in" or "snap out" of the handle, renders the invention usable as both a regular broom or as an upright adapter for a hand-held cordless vacuum cleaner. 8 Claims, 2 Drawings
