The use of (i) an antibody specific for Yersinia pestis F1-antigen, or a binding fragment thereof, or (ii) an antibody specific for Yersinia pestis V- antigen, or a binding fragment thereof, or a combination of (i) and (ii), in the production of a medicament for the treatment of infection by Yersinia pestis. It has been found that such treatments are effective therapies for Yersinia pestis infection. In addition, the combination produces a synergistic effect when used prophylactically.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation de : (i) un anticorps spécifique de l'antigène Yersinia pestis F1, ou un fragment de liaison de cet anticorps, ou bien (ii) un anticorps spécifique de l'antigène Yersinia pestis V ou un fragment de liaison dudit anticorps, ou bien une combinaison de (i) et (ii) dans la production d'un médicament pour le traitement de l'infection à Yersinia pestis. On a découvert que des traitements faisant appel à ce médicament sont efficaces dans la lutte contre l'infection à Yersinia pestis. En outre, la combinaison susmentionnée produit un effet synergique lorsqu'on l'utilise de façon prophylactique.
