The present invention provides compositions and methods of immunotherapy to treat cancer or other antigen-producing diseases or lesions. According to one embodiment of the invention, a composition is provided for eliciting an immune response to at (east one antigen in a patient having an antigen-producing disease or lesion, the composition comprising an effective amount of a cytokine mixture, preferably comprising IL-1, IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, IFN-.gamma. (gamma) and TNF-.alpha. (alpha). The cytokine mixture acts as an adjuvant with the antigen associated with the antigen-producing disease or lesion to enhance the immune response of the patient to the antigen. Methods are therefore also provided for eliciting an immune response to at least one antigen in a patient having an antigen-producing disease or lesion utilizing the cytokine mixture of the invention. The compositions and methods are useful in the treatment of antigen-producing diseases such as cancer, infectious diseases or persistent lesions.
La présente invention concerne des compositions et des procédés d'immunothérapie pour traiter le cancer ou d'autres maladies ou lésions produisant des antigènes. Conformément à un mode de réalisation de l'invention, une composition est proposée pour déclencher une réponse immunitaire à au moins un antigène chez un patient ayant une maladie ou une lésion produisant des antigènes, la composition comprenant une quantité efficace d'un mélange de cytokines, de préférence comprenant IL-1, IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, IFN-? (gamma) et TNF-a (alpha). Le mélange de cytokines agit comme un adjuvant avec l'antigène associé avec la maladie ou la lésion produisant des antigènes pour augmenter la réponse immunitaire du patient à l'antigène. L'invention concerne donc également des procédés pour déclencher une réponse immunitaire à au moins un antigène chez un patient ayant une maladie ou une lésion produisant des antigènes à l'aide du mélange de cytokines de l'invention. Les compositions et les procédés sont utiles dans le traitement de maladies produisant des antigènes telles que le cancer, les maladies infectieuses ou les lésions persistantes.
