C-7015 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus and method are disclosed for facilitating electrode installation in diaphragm type electrolytic cells. The apparatus includes a vacuum generator for pulling the diaphragm against a first electrode during insertion between two other spaced electrodes. The method relates to the use of a pressure differential to pull the diaphragm against the electrode during assembly of the cell.
