A vacuum cleaner fine particle filter is disclosed. The filter includes a flexible non-woven media material arranged in a series of adjacently positioned pleats that extend in a circumferential path and vertically supported by a frame. The frame provides corresponding internal support for the adjacently positioned pleats. Upper and lower end caps are sealed to the opposite free ends of the filter and frame. At least one of the end caps has an opening that is surrounded by a gasket to prevent leaks between the vacuum cleaner filter and the vacuum cleaner housing in which the vacuum cleaner filter is mounted.
