The invention is a vacuum duct for bottom unloading of particulate material storage bins. The device consists of a duct running along the floor of the bin, either above or below the bin floor, with a number of unloading openings operatively connecting the duct and the storage cavity. A vacuum unit is attached to one end of the duct and there is a vacuum airstream inlet at or near the opposite end of the duct. By opening one or more of the unloading openings and allowing air to enter the duct through the vacuum airstream inlet, a conventional grain vacuum or other vacuum device can be used to evacuate the contents of the bin from the bottom. The vacuum airstream inlet might be adjustable, as might be the unloading openings. The device is simpler and less costly to manufacture and use than other prior art methods.
