The folder/gluer has lip seals (118) associated with each side plate (111) of the conveyor housing (110). These lip seals are slightly lower than the top surface of the feed conveyor belts (120). When the vacuum is applied to the vacuum holes (175), these lip seals do not allow the vacuum acting on the article sides to be bled off to the atmosphere. This results in conveyance far superior to anything known to date.

Une plieuse/encolleuse comporte des joints à lèvres associés à chacune des plaques latérales (111) de l'enceinte (110) du convoyeur. Lesdits joints à lèvres sont légèrement plus bas que la surface supérieure des courroies (120) transporteuses du convoyeur d'apport. Lorsque que les ventouses (175) sont mises sous dépression, ces joints à lèvres interdisent l'évacuation dans l'atmosphère de la dépression agissant sur les côtés de l'article. Il en résulte un guidage et un transport nettement supérieur à ce qui se fait jusqu'alors.
