A method of preparing a vacuum insulation panel is disclosed. In the method of the present invention, a plurality of metal oxide-containing compacts (11), each of which contains less water than the amount of water contained therein at atmospheric equilibrium, are enclosed in a film (12) that retards the passage of moisture therethrough. The film (12) is breached and the metal oxide-containing compacts (11) are positioned in an air-impermeable container (14) at atmospheric pressure. The pressure is reduced in the air-impermeable container (14), and the air-impermeable container (14) is sealed to form the vacuum insulation panel (16). Also disclosed is vacuum insulation panel (16) comprising a plurality of metal oxide-containing compacts (11) disposed in an air-impermeable container (14), wherein the metal oxide-containing compacts (11) contain less water than the amount of water contained therein at atmospheric equilibrium.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un panneau à vide isolant. Selon ce procédé, un certain nombre d'éléments compacts (11) qui renferment un oxyde métallique, et dont la teneur en eau individuelle est inférieure à ce qu'elle serait au point d'équilibre atmosphérique, sont enfermées dans un film (12) qui ralentit le passage de l'eau. Ce film est rompu et les briquettes (11) sont placées à la pression atmosphérique dans une enveloppe imperméable à l'air (14). Après abaissement de la pression intérieure, l'enveloppe imperméable à l'air est scellée et forme par là même un panneau à vide isolant. L'invention concerne également un panneau à vide isolant composé d'un certain nombre d'éléments compacts qui renferment des oxydes métalliques et qui sont logées dans une enveloppe imperméable à l'air, éléments dont la teneur en eau est inférieure à ce qu'elle serait au point d'équilibre atmosphérique.
