Abstract: A VACUUM OPERATED IDLE SPEED CONTROL DEVICE A vacuum operated idle speed control device (26) for use on internal combustion engines to regulate the idle speed of the engine at the lowest operating speed. A controlled or sized input orifice (48) to the device (26) permits the basic valve body (38) to be used on different engine sizes. The diaphragm (42) modulates under control of an electromechanical vacuum control valve to provide the correct amount of pressure opening and closing the device (26). The vacuum operated idle speed control device (26) may include the vacuum control valve as an integral component. (FIGURE 3)
