A mailable packaged pillow gift is provided, including, a pillow having a front surface and an opposed rear surface, and having an uncompressed pillow thickness, a color image including a greeting, to at least the front surface of said pillow, a package having thickness < 30% the average pillow thickness, enclosing the pillow within a compact stored position, such that, when the compacted pillow is removed from the package, it expands to a lofted position, displaying the image and greeting. The package may be formed as an oversize postcard with a copy of the pillow image and greeting on the rear surface.
