Abstract Vacuum switch with a drive device and a pole operating unit A vacuum switch has at least one vacuum switching tube (2) and a pole operating unit (5) which receives the vacuum switching tube (2) at one of its ends. Each pole operating unit contains a lever arrangement for changing the direction of the operating movement provided by a drive device to the associated vacuum switching tube (2) and a contact force spring (16). In addition, a connection contact surface (34) for an external conductor is provided. The pole operating unit (5) has a U-shaped carrier (21) with elastically expandable legs (22) over which a connection device 16) which also has a U-shaped cross-section engages. A counter bearing (17) for the contact force spring (16) is attached between the legs (22) with expansion of the said legs (22). Instead of a connection device (6) which is also constructed as a stamped and swaged component, a connection device 153) which is constructed as a cast metal element and provided with cooling ribs can also be used.
