The invention relates to a vacuum tight coupling for the end portions (1, 2) of two tubular sections, the size of the inner space of a first end portion (1) being smaller than that of the second end portion (2). The second end portion, with its flange extremity (11) can axially slide over the first end portion against an abutment ring (10) on said first end portion. The coupling includes at least one sealing ring (4, 5) between said end portions and a clamping ring (3) with a substantially cylindrical outer surface. The ring (3) is composed of two substantially equal halves (12, 13) with each a U-shaped cross section with an inwardly oriented recess (6), said recess enclosing said flange and said abutment against each other. The two ring halves are fixed to each other at their extremities (15, 16) and the fixing means comprises in at least one place bolting means (9).

L'invention se rapporte à un dispositif de couplage étanche conçu pour les parties terminales (1, 2) de deux sections tubulaires, la dimension de l'espace interne d'une première partie terminale (1) étant inférieure à celle de la seconde partie terminale (2). Ladite seconde partie terminale peut coulisser axialement, grâce à son extrémité de bride (11), sur la première partie terminale à l'encontre d'un anneau d'aboutement (10) disposé sur la première partie terminale. Ce dispositif de couplage comporte au moins un anneau d'étanchéité (4, 5) disposé entre lesdites parties terminales et un anneau de blocage (3) doté d'une surface externe sensiblement cylindrique. Ledit anneau de blocage (3) est composé de deux moitiés (12, 13) sensiblement égales ayant chacune une section transversale en forme de U et un évidement orienté vers l'intérieur (6) qui renferme et presse l'un contre l'autre ladite bride et l'anneau d'aboutement. Les deux moitiés d'anneau sont fixées l'une à l'autre au niveau de leurs extrémités (15, 16) et l'organe de fixation comporte au moins un organe de verrouillage (9).
