ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The invention relates to a process for the valence isomerization of an olefin in the presence of a catalyst at elevated temperatures, wherein the said isomerization is carried out in the presence of a pentasil-type zeolite as the catalyst. It is possible with this process to achieve better times-on- stream and selectivities of the catalyst than can be obtained with the conventional processes.
