A request for call forwarding activation along with forward-to-number is received from a mobile station via one of the data channels such as a Stand- alone Dedicated Control Channel (SDCCH). The activation request itself is transported by an Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) message. The serving mobile switching center (MSC) analyzes the forward-to-number and establishes a speech connection with the mobile station by calling back the mobile station. Next, the MSC originates an outgoing call towards the forward- to-number and, as a result, establishes a speech connection between the mobile station and the telephone terminal associated with the forward-to-number. By establishing a speech connection between the two parties, the mobile subscriber requesting the call forwarding activation can verbally verify the forward-to-number. As an alternative, TCAP messages can be communicated between the serving MSC and the local exchange serving the forward-to-number to request the local exchange to verify the validity of the forward-to-number.
Une station mobile envoie par l'intermédiaire d'une des voies de données telle qu'une SDCCH (Stand-alone Dedicated Control Channel = Voie de signalisation point à point) une demande d'acheminement d'appel accompagnée d'un acheminement à un numéro. La demande d'acheminement proprement dite est véhiculée par un message USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data = Données de service supplémentaire non structuré). Le MSC (Mobile Switching Center = Centre de commutation mobile) serveur analyse l'acheminement à un numéro et établit une connexion téléphonique avec la station mobile en renouvelant l'appel qu'il lui a adressé. Le MSC envoie ensuite un appel sortant à l'acheminement à un numéro, à la suite de quoi il établit une connexion téléphonique entre la station mobile et le terminal téléphonique associé à l'acheminement à un numéro. En établissant ainsi une connexion téléphonique entre les deux parties, l'abonné mobile qui demande l'acheminement d'appel est en mesure de vérifier verbalement l'acheminement à un numéro. Une autre possibilité consiste à communiquer des messages TCAP (Transaction Capabilities Application Part = Sous-système d'application pour la gestion des transactions) entre le MSC serveur et le LE (Local Exchange = Commutateur local) servant l'acheminement à un numéro, afin de demander au LE de vérifier la validité de cet acheminement.
