A non-invasive system for quantitatively analyzing knee kinematics in three dimensional motion is described. The system includes a harness for securement about a knee and which has three magnetic sensors each secured to a sensor support. The sensor support is maintained substantially in a fixed relationship. At least some of the sensors are displaceably adjustable by adjustment members for contact with precise knee anatomy locations. A transmission network interconnects the sensors to respective inputs of a program analyzer for treating data signals from the sensors when the knee is in motion for quantitative evaluation of the kinematics of the knee while in motion.
