The valuable document (1) comprises a carrier (2) produced from a paper material and a laminating film (3) applied to said carrier and comprising a carrier film and a decorative layer including one or more security features (51, 52) and/or one or more components having electrical functionalities. The laminating film (3) is provided with weakened points for reducing the strength of the laminating film (3).
