A laminate of laminae of uniform rectangular cross-sections or depths and lengths arranged randomly or otherwise in the laminate, such laminae having been derived from a feedstock comprising a population of logs (single or multigrade) wherein the population of laminae comprises all of the laminae that can be derived from the population of logs (exclusive only of laminae or material for laminae that are not of acceptable rectangular cross-section and/or length), and where each cross-section of each lamina represents a maximum of one thirtieth of the log cross-section, or the thickness of each lamina represents a maximum of one fifteenth of the small end log diameter.
L'invention concerne un laminé constitué de feuilles, à sections transversales ou profondeurs et longueurs rectangulaires disposées de façon aléatoire ou autre dans le laminé. Ces feuilles proviennent d'une charge comprenant une population de billes (de variété unique ou multiple), ladite population englobant toutes les feuilles susceptibles d'être produites à partir d'une telle population (à l'exclusion seulement des feuilles n'ayant pas une section transversale et/ou une longueur rectangulaire), et chaque section transversale de feuille représente au maximum un trentième de la section transversale de la bille, ou bien l'épaisseur de chaque feuille représente au maximum un quinzième du diamètre de la bille en sa petite extrémité.
