ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed are two embodiments of a dual valve useful down- hole in well tubes to shut off flow up the tube and open a wall flow passage to the well annulus through which well killing fluid may be pumped. A ball valve is used to shut off formation upflow, and a cooperating sleeve valve above controls flow through the wall flow passage. One embodiment uses a pressured bellows to determine well annulus pressure and to operate a pawl latch releasing a com- pressed spring to operate the valves. Another embodiment uses a differential piston area to de- termine annulus-tube differential and move against a spring to operate a collet latch releasing a compressed spring to operate the valves. Operation differential pressures may be varied for either embodiment, and both may be reset to operate again without retrieval from the well.
