A valve actuating device (20) of a heating and/or cooling system controls the opening and closing of a valve (22) of the system. The device (20) includes a housing (62) having a fitting (80) which is threadably received by a fitting receiving formation (3A) of the valve (22) for securing the housing (62) to the valve (22). The device (20) further includes an electric motor (86) mounted on the housing (62). The motor (86) drives a shaft (90) having a pinion gear (102) mounted thereon and, upon its activation opens the valve (22). A rack (88) has teeth (96) engageable with the pinion gear (102) of the electric motor (86) and an end portion (98) engageable with a valve stem (54) of the valve (22). The arrangement is such that the rack (88) is movable upon activation of the motor (86) from a first position in which the end portion (98) of the rack (88) engages the valve stem (54) for maintaining a valve member (56) of the valve (22) in a closed position, to a second position in which the rack (88) is moved via the pinion gear (102) of the motor (86) away from the valve stem (54) for opening the valve (22).
L'invention concerne un dispositif de commande (20) de robinet pour système de chauffage et/ou de refroidissement qui commande l'ouverture et la fermeture d'un robinet (22) du système. Le dispositif (20) comprend un boîtier (62) présentant un raccord (80) reçu par vissage sur une partie (3A) du robinet (22) de réception dudit raccord, afin de fixer ledit boîtier (62) audit robinet (22). Le dispositf (20) comprend également un moteur électrique (86) monté dans le boîtier (62). Le moteur (86) entraîne un axe (90) sur lequel est monté un pignon (102) qui, en tournant, ouvre le robinet (22). Le pignon (102) du moteur électrique (86) s'engrène sur les dents (96) d'une crémaillère (88) dont l'extrémité (98) commande la tige de manoeuvre (54) du robinet (22). La crémaillère (88) est actionnée par le moteur (86) et passe d'une première position dans laquelle son extrémité (98) maintient la tige de manoeuvre (54) de telle sorte que le clapet (56) du robinet (22) soit en position fermée, à une seconde position dans laquelle le pignon (102) du moteur (86) éloigne la crémaillère (88) de la tige de manoeuvre (54) pour ouvrir le robinet (22).
