Abstract: The present invention involves a valve assembly comprised of a first valve and a second valve, the first valve connected to a supply pipe for allowing a sterile fluid production material flowing in the supply pipe to be discharged from the supply pipe into a chamber, the second valve being in communication with the chamber for allowing the material to flow from the chamber to a delivery pipe. The first and second valves have first and second valve plugs, respectively, being oriented on either side of the chamber and having the valve plugs being aligned on a common axis which passes through the chamber. A steam inlet and a steam outlet pipe are connected to the chamber, and are perpendicular to the common axis.
