The present invention relates to an arrangement for a compressor with oscillating piston wings. The arrangement has a series of mutually angularly displaced discharge slots arranged in a radially extending end wall between a working chamber of the machine and an oppositely disposed discharge chamber. The discharge slots are covered over by valve members of a resilient nature. The valve members may be inserted in the end wall with an end groove inn a recessed manner to engage a valve seat about each slot.
