The improved rotatable valve member driver of the present invention comprises a drive shaft (12) for connection at one end with an actuator and having a yoke (22) connected to the other end of the drive shaft (12). The yoke (22) preferably comprises two arms (20) extending on opposite sides of the fluid path through the valve housing. Each arm (20) includes a contact member, e.g., a dog (30) or set screw (80) extending from the arm (20), for engaging and turning the rotatable valve member (60) while not rigidly connecting the arm (20) with the valve member (60). In a preferred embodiment, the arms (20) of the yoke (22) extend around the fluid path and are joined together with a trunnion (36) to aid in centering the driver (10) and rotatable valve member (60).
