The invention relates to a valve for a thermal-regenerative waste gas purification installation, which valve may be installed in a connecting duct (3) of the waste gas purification installation (1), the duct connecting a gas inlet duct or gas outlet duct (4, 5) for inlet or outlet of an untreated or treated waste gas with a treatment chamber (2), having a conical valve seat (11) and an obturator of corresponding shape, in order to close an orifice formed by the valve seat (11), wherein the obturator is connected with a stem (20) for actuation of the obturator. According to the invention the obturator comprises an upper obturator plate (14) and a lower obturator plate (15), which are mounted spaced apart from one another, wherein the stem (20) comprises an axial internal bore (21), which is connected with a space (16) formed between the obturator plates (14, 15), in order to connect the space (16) directly with the outside environment or with an external fan or air compressor. According to a further aspect of the invention, a thermal-regenerative waste gas purification installation with at least one such valve is also provided. The valve provides a hermetic seal for the orifice formed in the valve seat.
