An injection molding system includes a manifold and a valve gated hot runner nozzle. The gating mechanism includes an actuated valve pin, where the mold gate orifice is open when the valve pin is in a first position to allow melt to flow there through. The mold gate orifice is closed when the valve pin is in a second position to prevent melt from flowing there though. A flow control pin is disposed within the melt stream, either coaxially with the valve pin within the melt channel of the nozzle or within the manifold melt channel. The flow control pin has a head with a complementary geometry with that of the melt channel at a flow control surface. The flow control pin is raised and lowered by an actuation mechanism to constrict or release the flow of the melt stream independent from the movement of the valve pin.
Système de moulage par injection comprenant un collecteur et une buse d'injection de carotte chauffée à obturateur. Le mécanisme d'obturation comprend une goupille de soupape commandée, où l'orifice de l'obturateur de moule est ouvert lorsque la goupille de soupape est à une première position pour permettre à la coulée de traverser l'orifice. L'orifice de l'obturateur de moule est fermé lorsque la goupille de soupape se trouve à une seconde position pour empêcher la coulée de traverser l'orifice de l'obturateur. Une goupille de régulation du débit est placée dans le jet de coulée, soit en position coaxiale avec la goupille de soupape dans le canal de coulée de la buse ou dans le canal de coulée du collecteur. La goupille de régulation du débit comporte une tête avec une géométrie complémentaire avec celle du canal de coulée sur une surface de régulation du débit. La goupille de régulation du débit est relevée et abaissée par un mécanisme de commande afin de limiter ou de libérer l'écoulement du jet de coulée, indépendamment du mouvement de la goupille de soupape.
