ABSTRACT A valve is provided with a ring-shaped, movable valve plate (11) made of resilient material. The pressure prevailing in a pipe line acts on one side of the valve plate, while atmospheric pressure acts on the other side of said plate, said other side abutting a valve seat (2,4). Arranged on the valve plate is a ring-shaped pressure plate (12) made of a rigid material and around the circumference of which there is provided a guide means whose extension axially is smaller than the valve chamber in which the valve plate and pressure plate are arranged.
