ABSTRACT IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO VALVES A valve for regulating and balancing the pressure in two fluid systems. The valve has a balance piston (2) which is acted on by the pressures (P1, P2) in each of the two systems and which controls the connection of one system to a relief line (15). A regulating piston (3) is provided which is acted on by a regulating pressure and which is subjected to the pressure (P1) in the other of the two systems. The regulating piston controls the connection of said other system to a relief line. Thus, the pressure (P1) is regulated by the regulating piston, whilst the pressure (P2) is controlled by the balance piston (2) in proportion to the pressure (P1). The regulating pressure may be either air or hydraulic pressure. Shock obsorber means (26, 27, 28) is preferably provided to restrict movement of the balance piston.
