A process for the preparation of a vanadium/phosphorus mixed oxide catalyst precursor comprises the reaction of a vanadium source in selected organic media in the presence of a phosphorus source. The organic medium comprises: (a) isobutyl alcohol or a mixture of isobutyl alcohol and benzyl alcohol and (b) a polyol in the weight ratio (a) to (b) of 99:1 to 5:95. After its activation, the vanadium/phosphorus mixed oxide catalyst precursor is an excellent catalyst in the conversion of non-aromatic hydrocarbons like n- butane to maleic anhydride.
La présente invention concerne un procédé pour préparer un précurseur de catalyseur à l'oxyde mixte de vanadium/phosphore. Ce procédé comprend la réaction d'une source de vanadium dans des milieux organiques sélectionnés, en présence d'une source de phosphore. Le milieu organique comprend : (a) de l'alcool isobutylique ou un mélange d'alcool isobutylique et d'alcool benzylique et (b) un polyol, dans un rapport de poids (a) sur (b) allant de 99:1 à 5:95. Après son activation, le précurseur de catalyseur à l'oxyde mixte de vanadium/phosphore est un excellent catalyseur dans la transformation d'hydrocarbures non aromatiques, tels que le n-butane, en anhydride maléique.
