ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A nozzle vane assembly for a gas turbine has a number of vanes connected to a shroud. A second, concentric shroud is arranged separately and urged axially against the unrestrained ends of the vanes through a clamping device. This serves to alleviate thermal stresses and thermal fatigue in the vane assembly.
