VANED CUTTERHEAD FOR FORAGE HARVESTERS AND THE LIKE Abstract of the Disclosure A cutterhead of the closed-drum type having air-circulating vanes at its opposite end walls and, more specifically, the vanes are secured to overhanging knife supports and to the respective end walls. Adjacent vanes and overhanging knife supports define air channels and provide significantly increased air flow through the channels and the discharge passage of a cut-and-throw type harvester to provide enhanced propulsion of crop material from the discharge spout.
