It is disclosed the use of a vapor and radiant barrier membrane for covering a wall surface for insulation applications in the construction industry. The membrane comprises a facing layer which contains a radiant aluminum foil for heat reflectivity, and a backing layer laminated to the facing layer. The backing layer is made of polyethylene and has a thickness that limits vapor permeability.
