HORAN FOR: VAPOR COMPRESSION LIQUID TREATING SYSTEM A B S T R A C T A contaminated liquid containing a solvent is fed to an evaporation chamber maintained at a reduced pressure. A vapor compression means draws solvent vapor from the evaporation chamber, compresses the vapor and forces the compressed vapor to a liquification chamber. The density of the concentrate remaining after the evaporation of solvent is measured to determine if the process needs adjustment. Regulator means responsive to the measured density will regulate the apparatus to provide a concentrate suitable for recycling.
