12 48,338 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A water collector for vapor-cooled electrical apparatus which is hermetically sealed to the atmosphere. The flow of vapor through the water collector is generated by the condensation of the vapor into a liquid and is continuous during operation of the apparatus. A storage chamber may be sized to contain all of the water collected during the lifetime of the apparatus or the water may be periodically eliminated from the system.
