This device is designed to deliver warm moist air to the lungs of a horse or other large animal in order to moisten the lungs in order to assist the animal in removing foreign matter and mucous plugs. The air is maintained at a temperature a few degrees above the normal body temperature of the animal and water is transported with the air in a vapour form which allows it to penetrate deeply into the lungs. As the water vapour comes into contact with the lungs, they become moistened and the material in the lungs softens so that natural mechanisms of the lungs are better able to remove this material.
