ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A vapourizing device, preferably made of plastic, for volatile sub- stances, more particularly air-fresheners, has a box-like lower part with a screw threaded cover. A substance-carrier is inserted into the container. The cover rotates between limiting positions, closing the container sealingly in the one terminal position of rotation, whereas, in the other terminal position of rotation, the cover is raised from sealing surfaces in the lower part to expose openings in the casing which allow the volatile substances to escape. The lower part of the container is pot-shaped and has no openings; the necessary openings being arranged in the casing of the cover. The edge- part of the mouth of the lower part of the container is in the form of a sealing surface facing the sealing surfaces arranged in the cover.
